What is AOE? [1]"AOE" Appko Open Enterprise is an academic model for an open license IT Enterprise to run applications necessary for CRM, ERP, and Custom Applications.

CRM "Customer Relationship Management" is the category of applications used by persons in the "front office", or that part of the organization which deals with relationships outside the company or organization.

ERP "Enterprise Resource Planning" is the category of applications used by persons withing the company to run operations. The "back office" applications are used to run the company or organizations financial and operations.

Custom Applications are those applications and technologies used by companies and organizations to automate unique or compelling operations or activities.
